Abandoned Time was inspired by a building. Ageing, structurally neglected, and void of any human presence its isolation is only further emphasised by the structure's partial submersion in a reservoir. As with a sealed container, one is compelled to imagine what might be inside. The absence of certainty permits the director's imagination an infinite space of possible 'happenings' or 'movements'.
Abandoned Time was shortlisted for the Jerwood Moving Image Awards 2008.
The film has been shown in international film festivals including Festival du Nouveau Cinéma de Montréal and Onedotzero.
The film has previously been exhibited and/or shown at Sketch, The Institute of Contemporary Arts, Whitechapel Gallery, Jerwood Space and Here Arts Center.
